Games for March, 7 are ON.
Be sure you’ve clicked What happens if it rains?
Coaches, please check field conditions and communicate with your players and families.
Players, stand by for your coaches' messages of field conditions.
When it comes to weather, it’s best to be prepared to play unless told otherwise, even up to game time. Please note that conditions are different from location to location, as it may be drizzling where you are but your field of play may be very playable. Check the SFRPD Field Closure Report . https://fs18.formsite.com/res/resultsReportTable?EParam=B6fiTn%2BRcO5gxPxCLTtif%2FTBZfQjAcbzwCi9jw02kUQSq0hsyAedVkhBtIa3wGQcGW07E1SN8yI%3D
General information about SFRPD field closures can be found here. Dirt and turf fields are managed differently; please be mindful of which type of field you’re scheduled on, and whether closures apply to you (see "Additional Information").
Artificial Turf Fields Play Rain or Shine (except for lightning). Turf Fields: Kimbell, Silver Terrace, South Sunset, Minnie and Lovie Ward
As far as the COVID-19 Virus and the DPH recommendations, SFYBL is under direction from SF Rec and Park. We/they're monitoring the situation carefully and have decided that the games will be played, weather permitting. The DPH recommendations are geared toward the more vulnerable populations in our city and large gatherings (like professional sporting events or large concerts).
The best way for all of us to reduce the risk of getting sick, as with seasonal colds or the flu, still applies to COVID-19:
Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Cover your cough or sneeze.
Stay home if you are sick.
Avoid touching your face.
Try alternatives to shaking hands, like an elbow bump or wave.
If you have recently returned from a country, state or region with ongoing COVID-19 infections, monitor your health and follow the instructions of public health officials.
There is no recommendation to wear masks at this time to prevent yourself from getting sick.
Should you have any questions, or concerns, please direct them to your (Volunteer*) Division Commissioners.
